CopyKat.com's Dining Out at Home

From Ulysses Press
The most widely loved dishes from everyone’s favorite restaurants are now as close as the kitchen. This book presents the most popular of CopyKat.com’s taste-tested, chef-approved “copycat” recipes for delicious drinks, awesome appetizers, mouthwatering main courses, and scrumptious desserts. With its easy-to-follow format and clear instructions, this book is accessible to even novice cooks, letting anyone amaze their friends, families, and dates with perfectly reproduced dishes. There’s no more arguing about where to go for dinner: husbands can enjoy an “Alice Springs Chicken” and “Bloomin’ Onion” from Outback Steakhouse, while picky kids wolf down “Chili Cheese Frito Wraps” as if they were parked outside a Sonic. This book covers it all, from having friends over for a happy hour with mozzarella sticks, sliders, and margaritas just like they serve at T.G.I. Friday’s to winning his heart with dinner-date classics like the Olive Garden’s “Chicken Alfredo” or the Cheesecake Factory’s “Madeira Chicken.”

Have you ever heard of Semolina’s Pasta Chicago ?

    • stephaniemanley

I have not heard of this place, I am guessing it is in Chicago only.

This site is very hard to navigate. Why isn’t there a search for THIS SITE. I would like to look at recipes by restaurant like I used to be able to.

    • angela

      I agree.
I haven’t been on this site for a while, I didn’t recognize it. searching by restaurants was so much easier.

      • stephaniemanley

I think CD Kitchen offers search by restaurant. This is how I list out all of my recipes. If you do not want to use the search.

        • angela

          Thank you

    • Karen

I also agree. The only search I see is the Google Search Box at the top. If I wanted to go Google I wouldn’t have come here.
List by Restaurant or by Dish Name. ex. Pizza Hut OR Chicken Club Pizza.

YUMMMM! If you have Burger Kings in your area, they sell tacos just like Jack in the Box

      • Mary Kay Cathy Demma-Gillis

We have TONS of Burger Kings here in Michigan, but they don’t sell tacos :(

        • http://www.copykat.com Stephanie

I am not sure if they still serve them or not. I think that was their answer to the Jack in the Box Taco.

I feel like this should be set up by restaurant because a lot of people are having trouble finding recipes.

    • http://www.copykat.com Stephanie

I appreciate your suggestion. I wish I had just a few recipes, and I could put them onto 1 page, but with as many as are available, it isn’t real easy to go through. I appreciate your suggestion and hope to come up with a better solution than the google search engine. We all know it doesn’t always help you get the results or even the recipes we all want.

    • Stephanie Manley

I have now set this up by an alphabetical archive.

    • stephaniemanley

  • Lesa_hawkins

Does anyone know how I can get the recipe for O’Charley’s yeast rolls? Thank you in advance.

    • ronda

Don’t know recipe but, you can go there and buy the rolls frozen or already baked. I worked there and people came in a lot to buy them.

    • Robin

Here’s the link for the rolls:

I *love* Stephanie’s site, but the link above has many great restaurant recipes too. Many are individually owned restaurants that were well-known in that particular state. Check it out if you can’t find a recipe you’re looking for.

I am looking for a salad dressing recipe from Flancer’s in Mesa and Gilbert, AZ. The serve sandwiches, pizza and salads. It is their house dressing and it is a greenish color. I asked and it has balsamic vinegar and mustard, but not sure what else. Does anyone have this recipe? Thanks,

Anyone know the recipe for Outback’s blooming onion? How about Black Eyed Pea’s pot roast?

    • Paula Kaesberg

Just want to help make the recipe for Outback steamed green beans easier to follow. The recipe calls for 1/2 tsp brown sugar and you put in 1 tsp on the video. And Maggi is not only found in oriental sections of groceries, but can be found just about anywhere. It’s pronounced Mug-ee, not Magi, should you ask for it. And I don’t remember hearing that you included pepper on the video. Hope this helps.

I noticed you put ice to crush in a blender to make McDonald’s lemonade strawberry drink. I’m not sure that’s the type of crushing they use. There are times I can taste salt in the drink. Maybe Rock salt?

    • One_lostangel

Their lemonade drinks are just ice and flavor really, if your tasting salt, they havent cleaned the machine most likey. Still amazing though!

    • Ashley Larimore

i worked at mcdonads as a mgr. and it was just ice no rock salt
