New Video – Olive Garden Chicken Gnocchi

August 22, 2011

This is one of my favorite soups of all time. This is easy to make, and it tastes just like the restaurant. It’s so easy to do. I use prepared gnocchi that I purchase on the pasta isle for this recipe. I don’t think you need to make homemade gnocchi for this recipe.

It is very rewarding to grow a vegetable garden at home. It’s great exercise and the home grown food tastes better than something bought in a shop.

I love OG version, this was good, too. Next time, I will not use as many carrots.

This is one of our favorite soups at OG. I made this for my husband last night and he was speech less. He was amazed how I learn to make his favorite soup. Thank you, this will be one of many recipes I will continue to make from your site. Happy Holidays.

Made this last week and really enjoyed it. I went to Wal-Mart today to get some more ingredients to make another batch, they were completely out of the gnocchi. I was so disappointed, I wanted some more of this delicious soup especially now when it has been snowing and very cold outside. Might have to make my own gnocchi if they don’t get more in soon. Just a few things I did differently from your recipe were I reserved the water I cooked my chicken in and then added a 14 oz can of chicken broth to it and then cooked my gnocchi in that. I then used some of this water/broth in addition to the 14 oz can of broth called for to thin the soup out to the consistency I prefer. Next time I will cut up my gnocchi into smaller bits if I can’t find the mini gnocchi and also add more spinach. I may try using just three tablespoons of flour versus the four as it does become quite thick. I first tried the soup without nutmeg and then tried it with. I was surprised at how it really enhanced the flavor. I definitely recommend the nutmeg. Thank you for sharing this recipe.

Homemade gnocchi is very easy to make. Watched on Martha Stewart and could not believe how simple it is!
