ooops! You say 2 teaspoons of the cheeses on the video but the ingredient lists both on the video and on the site say 2 Tablespoons. Clarification??

Please follow the written instructions. I made a mistake when I spoke on the video.

I love this recipe, however I use honey instead of corn syrup. Still tastes great and healthier. I know I am getting away from the whole OG taste alike recipe, but it still tastes similar! Thanks for sharing! :)

    Ingredients for Olive Garden dressing:
water, soybean oil, distilled vinegar, corn syrup, egg, romano cheese, dehydrated garlic, milk, salt, spices…no where does it say Mayo and there is no mayo…why would you put Mayo in a non creamy dressing? I tried this recipe and a few others I have found on here and not one even remotely resembled the Olive Garden Dressing…

I did buy it at Sam’s and it is the same as the restaurant..only better cause you can add as little or as much as you like.

So when you combine oil, and eggs, and whisk together it turns into mayo. These two ingredients emulsify. The dressing is not clear, it is creamy. I am so glad you can find the dressing at Sam’s. If you have a membership that is a great way to pick up this salad dressing.

Ummm…What do you think mayo is made out of? Ever look at the back of the jar?? Eggs and soybean oil. Just sayin. I tried this and it tasted amazingly like the O.G. dressing to us. Maybe you made it wrong. ;-)

    Olive Garden Salad Dressing

    1/2 cup mayonnaise
    1/3 cup white vinegar
    1 teaspoon vegetable oil
    2 tablespoon corn syrup
    2 tablespoon Parmesan cheese
    2 tablespoon Romano cheese
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt, or one clove garlic, minced
    1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
    1/2 teaspoon parsley flakes
    1 tablespoon lemon juice
    sugar (optional)
    Instructions
Place all ingredients in a blender until well mixed. If this is a little too tart for your own personal taste, add a little extra sugar. You can enjoy your Olive Garden salad dressing for about 10 days if stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Another great use for the Olive Garden salad dressing is as a marinade for vegetables or even meats that you might like to grill. So you can see the Olive Garden salad dressing can be used in more than one way.
Be sure to serve this recipe with the Olive Garden Salad Mix.

    sorry – substituted

  • Kathryn Boston

Could corn syrup be substitued by something else?

    • Barb

The corn syrup can be substituted with a packet of sugar substitute or regular sugar. Be sure to mix well

      • Stephanie Manley

I can understand why you may not want to use corn syrup. There is a sugar syrup called golden cane syrup, this could also work well in this recipe.
