New Weekly Feature! Ask CopyKat

April 7, 2010

So starting on Sunday I will add a new feature where you get to ask me 3 questions a week about food, recipes, or anything else website related. Over the years I have answered a lot of questions, and I might as well give you the option to ask and have everyone see the answers. Questions that might be good to ask would be like…

What’s the difference between Yam and Sweet Potatoes?
How to bakeries get their baked rolls to taste so sweet?
Is it ok to eat raw eggs?
What’s the difference between milk chocolate and dark chocolate?

So again, I will answer 3 questions a week, you can ask me in the comments section, or even send me an email, and I will answer questions on Sunday.

I have obtained several recipes that are over 100 years old. Most of these recipes call for a scant of this and a scant of that. How much is a scant?

I would love to get the recipe for Elephant Bar’s teriyake. It is only slightly sweet and isn’t very thick. Can you give me some pointers on how to make it at home? Thanks

A number of years ago Houlihans had a french dressing with blue cheese chunks in it. I would try to just mix store bought except their french was not sweet and was more of an oil based dressing. Does anyone have a similar recipe I could use? It really was a great dressing!

that was wonderful dressing — and it was served on a Boston Bibb lettuce. Marvelous. Woud love recipe as well.
