Simon and Seafort Blue Cheese Dressing – Blue cheese dressing doesn’t need to be purchased in the store, you can make this at home, in your own kitchen, and it tastes better home made.
This is another version of this recipe sent in my a fellow viewer. We like this recipe as the additional seasonings such as white pepper, onion salt, and more help make this a complex flavor that you associate with blue cheese dressing.
1/8 tsp. White Pepper
1 tsp. MSG
3/4 tsp. Salt
1/4 tsp. Onion salt
1/4 C. Salad oil
1/4 C. Water
1 Tbsp. Wine Vinegar
1 C. Mayonnaise
1 C. Sour Cream
2 oz. Bleu Cheese
Mix all the spices with the salad oil and water. Blend in the vinegar, mayonnaise, and sour cream. Mash the bleu cheese and stir into the dressing.
Serve on Romaine greens and grate or crumble bleu cheese over salad. Garnish with croutons, chopped hard-cooked eggs, and toasted slivered almonds.
