Brown Derby Special French Dressing – French salad dressing can be hard to find, but you can recreate this salad dressing with our recipe.

May 11, 2009

This goes along with the famous Brown Derby Cobb Salad, but it also can go well with any salad.  This salad dressing also goes well on meaty sandwiches and as a dip for fresh vegetables.

1/4 C. Water
1/4 C. red wine vinegar
1/2 tsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
3/4 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 clove garlic, minced
1/4 C. olive oil
3/4 C. vegetable oil

Combine water, vinegar, sugar, lemon juice, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic, and oils. Chill. Shake well before serving.

This is good with vegetables I used it as a afternoon snack. The kids loved it! I enjoyed it also!

While the ingredients are correct, the amounts are off for the original Brown Derby Old Fashioned French Dressing served on the Cobb salad.
