The Old Spaghetti Factory Creamy Pesto Dressing – fresh tasting salad dressing is hard to be beat.
There is nothing better than freshly made salad dressing. You can make this dressing up quickly and it makes a terrific salad dressing, if you have any left over you may want to use this as a chicken marinade.
3/4 C. oil
1 C. mayonnaise
3/4 C. buttermilk
2 Tbsp. grated Romano cheese
2 Tbsp. crushed dried basil
1/2 tsp. salt
1 clove garlic, minced
Hot pepper sauce
Whisk together oil and mayonnaise. Add buttermilk, cheese, basil, salt, garlic and hot pepper sauce to taste. Mix thoroughly. Cover and let flavors meld overnight in refrigerator. This also will made an excellent chicken marinade

You can use vegetable oil, for the pepper sauce you can use Tobasco. Hope this helps.
