Boston Market Macaroni and Cheese

You can make creamy macaroni and cheese just like is served at the Boston Market.


  • 8 ounces dry macaroni
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 tablespoon minced onion
  • 1 cup or 1/4 pound American Processed cheese


Cook pasta according to instructions, drain and set aside. To make cheese sauce, melt butter in a saucepan add onion flour. Allow this to thicken, and when thickened slowly add the milk. When all milk is added, you may add the cheese. For this Velveeta, is really the best, but you can use another brand. Add salt, pepper, and dry mustard. When sauce has thickened, add pasta. Lightly butter a casserole dish, and add pasta mixture to casserole dish. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.

    Very good, but no where close to Boston Market’s mac and cheese. I doubled the recipe using about 13ish ounces of normal cheddar cheese, and it tastes great. One thing, it tastes a bit mustardy. Will definitely cut down on the ground mustard next time.

    I dont think this taste ANYTHING like Boston Market Mac and Cheese, however it is a simple and easy recipie and it taste ok, good enough to make again.

      because the recipe is missing two ingredients, first of all it only calls for a little bit of AMERICAN cheese, and it calls for 2 other cheese, CHEDDAR and BLEU

    This recipe is awesome!!! So tasty, and easy…far less expensive to make than to buy at Boston Market. $28.99 for a catering size is too expensive for the $4.50 worth of ingredients to make this batch of deliciousness.

    I have always like the food at Boston Market I just don’t like that the food is always cold when they serve it. I like my food really hot. So this is great to have this recipe I can make it at home and eat it while its hot!
