Hot German Potato Salad
What could be better than Hot German Potato Salad? Potatoes, bacon, onions, and more make a delicious potato salad. Agnes Schelluen. Jefferson City, Mo. 1968.
8 C. sliced potatoes, cooked
1 C. celery, diced
1 C. onion, diced
3 Tbsp. flour
1 Tbsp. salt
2/3 C. sugar
2/3 C. vinegar
1 1/3 C. water
1 C. bacon, diced
Fry bacon, and drain fat from skillet. Return 4 Tbsp. fat to skillet, and add celery, onions, flour, and salt. Cook gently. Add sugar, vinegar, water and bring to a boil. Put bacon on top of potatoes. Pour sauce over potatoes and bacon. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or put in a crock-pot until well heated.
