Campbell's Vegetable Beef Soup

This soup is so easy to make and so delicious!


  • 2 to 3 pounds of stew meat
  • 1/4 cup of butter
  • 3 quarts of water
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cup chopped carrots
  • 3 medium sized potatoes peeled and cubed
  • 1 cup of chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup of dried onions
  • 1/2 cup barley
  • 6 cubes of beef bouillon


Brown the meat in butter. Add all other ingredients. Pressure cook this for 20 minutes. Or you can simmer in a crock pot on low for several hours, or cook in a large pot on the stove over low heat for 2 to 3 hours.

    This is close but lacks also the peas, green beans and a good dose of MSG.

      Ok, I’ll get some more chlorophyl in there, but I will leave out the MSG.

    This is a horrible attempt at canpbells vegetable beef soup. It lacks flavor and is just plain…. Plainly boreing. It tastes like water with flavorless beef and vegetables. Dont waste your money to make this recipe, there are plenty of others that are wonderful. This recipe I horrible!
