- 1 1/2 cup uncooked rice
- 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup of butter, both work well
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1/2 cup bell pepper
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 small can mushrooms
- 1 cup grated cheese
- 1 pound hot sausage, cooked and drained
- 3 cups water
- salt and pepper to taste
Cook and drain the sausage. Place rice in a 3-quart casserole; add soup mix, water, then vegetables, butter, and sausage. Top with cheese in the last 15 minutes of baking time. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes.Print Recipe
