These are one of my favorite cookies from my Grandmother. Source Virginia McDowell. Jefferson City, MO 1965.
Crisp Toffee Bars
1 C. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
6 oz pkg. chocolate chips
1 C. brown sugar
2 C. sifted flour
1 C. pecans
Cream brown sugar, vanilla, and add flour, then mix well. Stir in nuts and chips. Pat mixture in a well-greased 13′x9′ pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cut while warm and cool before serving.
