Cherry Devil’s Food Cake
Source Ethel Eynard. Jefferson City, MO. 1975. The cake is extremely moist, and only gets more that way as it sits.
1 pkg. Devil’s Food Cake Mix
1/2 C. Sour Cream
2 Eggs
1 tsp. Almond Extract
21 oz. can Cherry Pie Filling
1/2 C. Sour Cream
2 Eggs
1 tsp. Almond Extract
21 oz. can Cherry Pie Filling
Mix together cake mix, sour cream, eggs, and almond extract and pie filling by hand. Pour into a greased and floured 13 x 9 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees oven for 45 – 50 minutes. Cool before frosting. I have had this with either a cream cheese, or a chocolate frosting.
