Apple Pie
This is from my neighbor growing up, she was a fantastic cook. This recipe is by Kay Corsi. Pueblo, Co. 1982.
6 C. apples (8-10) cored and pealed
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 C. sugar
3 1/2 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
sprinkle ground cloves
2 Tbsp. butter on top
1 Tbsp. lemon juice

Mix all ingredients and place in a deep 10-inch pie shell, dot with butter and place top dough over apples. Brush the top with milk then sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Then back at 350 degrees until golden.
