Schreiners Restaurant Dairyland Cheesecake
Schreiners Restaurant Dairyland Cheesecake is like a New York Style Cheesecake, you can make this days ahead of when you will need it, the flavors continue to improve as this ages. Recipe is by Paul Cunningham, Manager, US 41 & Hwy 23, Fond du Lac, WI.
1 C. graham cracker crumbs
1/4 C. sugar
1/4 C. butter, softened

2 8-ounce packages cream cheese, softened
1 2/3 C. sugar
4 eggs
1/4 lemon juice

1 C. dairy sour cream
1 Tbsp. grated lemon peel
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/4 C. sugar
1/4 C. butter, softened

Combine crumbs and sugar; add butter. Mix until butter is thoroughly combines with crumbs; press onto bottom of 9-inch spring form pan. Combine cream cheese and sugar, mixing at medium speed on electric mixer until well blended. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Blend in juice; pour over crust. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour. Combine sour cream, lemon peel, and sugar; carefully spread over cheesecake. Bake 5 minutes. Loosen cake from rim of pan; cool before removing pan. Chill. Makes 12 servings.
