This simple yet tasty cake is a wonderful addition to any table.

Ingredients

  • 1 (18 ounce) yellow cake mix
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 3/4 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together the cake mix, butter, and egg. Pat into a greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Mix together cream cheese, 2 eggs, and powdered sugar. Beat this mixture together for 3 minutes. Pour over cake dough. Bake for 40 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar while still warm. Cut into squares or bars.

    Correction to comment. I misread the ingredient list. It clearly shows a total of 3 eggs. My mistake. Thank you.

    Question total number of eggs to be used. Direction section indicates a total of 3 eggs, but the listing section of ingredients specifies 2.
