Crab and Shrimp Au Gratin

This is a yummy dish to share with the family!

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1/2 cup Process Cheese spread
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon Tabasco Sauce
  • 1/4 pound Crab Meat
  • 1/2 pound Cooked Shrimp
  • Hot cooked Rice

Instructions

Combine flour, salt, pepper, and 1 cup of milk. Stir until smooth. Combine cheese spread and remaining milk in top of a double boiler, cook over hot water until cheese melts. Add flour mixture and hot sauce to cheese mixture, stir until smooth. Add shrimp and crabmeat. Pour into a greased 1 1/2 quart casserole dish and top with shredded cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Serve over hot cooked rice.

    Very poor recipe if you must use any kind of “pasturized cheese spread” when preparing a high quality gourmet cheese sauce is infinitely preferable both in quality and flavor.
