Another version of this famous cake. Gina McCaver generously donated this recipe.
1 box of German Chocolate cake mix
1 jar (12.25oz) of Smuckers Carmel flavored topping
8oz container of Cool Whip
Hershey Bar shavings
Prepare the cake mix as directed and pour into a greased 9×13 cake pan and bake. Remove the cake from the oven and use a straw to make several holes in the cake. Pour the entire jar of Carmel over the cake and spread evenly. Refrigerate the cake for about an hour or until completely cooled. Spread all of the Cool Whip on top of the cake and garnish with Hershey Bar shavings.
