Pizza Burgers
Recipe comes from Sue A. Mertens Minick from Hazelwood, MO. She actually found this site on the internet! Turns out she is family of mine.
1 lb. Sausage
1 lb. Hamburger
15 oz. Tomato Sauce
1 can sliced Mushrooms
2 tsp. Oregano
1/2 tsp. Garlic Salt
1/2 C. grated Cheese

Brown meat and drain well. Add other ingredients and mix well. Put on buns or English muffins. Sprinkle cheese on top and bake until bubbly. more cheese can be added to desired taste. I especially like Mozzarella on top. These can be frozen before baking, and baked later.
This recipe came from our school cafeteria many years ago. It was adjusted for home use. This was way back when things were made from scratch.
