American Chop Suey
Source is Lynn Ordorf, 1976. Pueblo, CO.
1 lb. ground beef
2 C. celery, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
1 can mushrooms
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 1/2 C. water
4 Tbsp. soy sauce
1/2 C. rice
1 can Chop Suey Noodles
Brown beef, and add celery and onion and simmer. Add mushrooms, soup, and 1 1/2 C. water, soy sauce, and rice. Bake for 1 hour. Put Chop Suey noodles on top and bake for 15 minutes more.
Makes 4 – 6 servings.
