Garlic Lover’s Hummus
This is expensive to buy, but less expensive to make. I always thought that this was weird stuff until I tried it. It tastes like an exotic bean dip. Really give this stuff a try
This hummus isn’t a standard hummus, this one has you adding oregano to the hummus.
2 C. chick peas, cooked in water
3 cloves garlic, crushed
3 Tbsp. tahini, (sesame paste) – found in oriental sections of your grocery store
Juice of 1 lemon
1/4 tsp. oregano
1 Tbsp. olive oil
Salt and Pepper to taste
Mash the chickpeas, or put all the ingredients in a food processor to make a paste. Place into a bowl, and serve it decorated with finely chopped onions, chopped parsley, or even Cilantro. Drizzle olive oil on top.
